Switched to the Anti-Godaddy

Hover Discount

My first domain ever was with Godaddy. Since then I have acquired a small handful of domains. I have always hated the checkout process that includes constant pushing of additional products. Navigating the site is a mess although has gotten better the last year or so. I recently had issues with a clients domain so had to call support. The experience was like calling the cable company. Not very friendly and was on hold for a longer than expected amount of time.

Like other’s I am having issues with their use of immoral advertising.

So this week I began the switch to Hover, who is being called the Anti-Godaddy. Visit their website and the first thing you notice is how clean it is. No hidden fees and during checkout it is very clear on what your getting. The tutorial for how to transfer domains from Godaddy was a breeze to follow. I have moved several of my domains already and will finish the move of all of them by the end of the year.

The prices may appear to be higher than some. Look at the big picture such as Private Registration. Godaddy charges an additional $9 per year. Private Registration is included with Hover along with unlimited domain forwarding.

If you need support they are easy to get a hold of.

I was so pleased with the whole experience I had, I contacted them and became a Hover affiliate. I can now offer a special discount code that will give you 10% OFF your purchase. Use it as many times as you like, it won’t expire. Use the link, click on the image in this post or enter in the code: shinybot during checkout.
